Organizations of the NAS of Belarus presented their latest developments at the 24th International Specialized Exhibition "Welding and Cutting - 2025"

From April 1 to 4, 2025, organizations of the NAS of Belarus presented their latest developments at the 24th International Specialized Exhibition "Welding and Cutting - 2025". In total - more than 25 developments and technologies. For example, the Physical and Technical Institute of the NAS of Belarus presented the following areas: technology of cross-wedge rolling of large-sized products (including a model of a complex for this technology); technology of ion chemical-thermal treatment (including a model of a complex for this technology); technology and equipment for induction heating (including a model of this equipment).

As the First Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus Sergei Chizhik emphasized at the opening: "The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus annually takes part in and is a co-organizer of exhibitions. At our stands, you can see developments in new powder materials, additive technologies. SPA “Center” will demonstrate the possibilities of manufacturing large-sized equipment, using electron beam and robotic welding, which joins dissimilar materials." He recalled that the NAS has created an innovative and technological cluster of industrial technologies, Akademtekhnograd, on the basis of the Physics and Technology Institute, which is capable of implementing global projects, involving not only materials scientists, but also programmers.

For four days (from April 1 to 4), Minsk Football Arena (20/2 Pobediteley Avenue) became an exhibition venue, where expositions of several international specialized exhibitions were displayed at once: "Metalworking", "Mechanical Engineering", "Welding and Cutting", "Powder Metallurgy", "Corrosion Protection. Coatings", "Litmetexpo: Casting and Metallurgy". The topics of the industrial and technological forum covered a wide range of technologies in metalworking, welding, mechanical engineering, foundry production, construction materials, and resource conservation. About 200 participants from Belarus, Russia, China, Turkey, and other countries presented new equipment and materials.
