The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences announce a competition for the 2026 Academician V. Koptyug Prize
The Academician Valentin Koptyug Prize is awarded annually for the best joint scientific work, discovery or invention, or a series of joint scientific works on a single topic, carried out within the framework of the areas agreed upon in the cooperation agreement between the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences.
The awarding of the Academician V. Koptyug Prize in 2026 will be carried out by the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
Joint works completed or published within three years preceding the year in which the prize is conferred, may be submitted for the award. When submitting papers, leading authors are nominated from teams of no more than 10 people. Each country must be represented by at least two scientists.
The prize amount is 500,000 (five hundred thousand) Russian rubles. The monetary portion of the prize is divided equally among the co-authors of the work.
The right to nominate candidates for the prize is granted to: academicians and corresponding members working at the NAS of Belarus or SB of RAS; academic councils of scientific institutions of the NAS of Belarus and SB of RAS; topical scientific councils of the NAS of Belarus and the joint academic councils (JAC) of SB of RAS in scientific fields, academic councils of higher education institutions; scientific and technical councils of state committees, ministries, and departments of the Republic of Belarus; technical councils of industrial enterprises and design bureaus of the regions of Siberia).
Organizations or individuals who have nominated their work for the award must submit the following documents:
a reasoned presentation, including a scientific description of the work, justification of its significance for the development of science and the national economy;
the original of the published scientific work (series of works), materials of the scientific discovery or invention - in three copies;
information about the authors – Curriculum-vitae – for each.
Materials with the inscription "For the 2026 Academician V.
