The NAS of Belarus is intensifying cooperation with China in biotechnology and microelectronics

The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus is intensifying scientific and technical cooperation with the People's Republic of China in biotechnology, microelectronics, and materials science. This was announced today by Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus Alexei Trukhanov at a meeting with Minister-Counselor of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Belarus Song Yanping.

"The People's Republic of China is one of Belarus's key strategic partners in science and technology. Your visit to the Academy of Sciences confirms our mutual interest in deepening cooperation and exchanging experience between scientists from both countries," said Alexei Trukhanov. He also noted that the launch of joint initiatives and the implementation of Belarusian-Chinese projects will serve as a powerful incentive for new scientific research, capable of elevating the scientific potential of Belarus and China to the brand new level.

The NAS of Belarus has concluded over 80 cooperation agreements with Chinese partners. As part of the competition for flagship scientific and technical projects for 2025-2026, the Academy of Sciences is implementing a project to develop a technology for synthesizing new materials for highly efficient, high-precision, and stable self-supporting catalytic electrodes for hydrogen production.
