In 2026, the Science Festival will be held in a new format for the first time

This year, Belarus's premier large-scale science event, the Science Festival, will take place in a completely new two-day format on September 5 and 6, in the heart of the capital, in the picturesque Botanical Garden. Vladimir Karanik, Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, announced this today at a working meeting on the preparation and holding of the Science Festival. According to him, Minsk residents and guests can expect unforgettable events and a veritable kaleidoscope of impressions: master classes and lectures from leading experts and renowned scientists, interactive zones, and captivating shows.

"We've changed the format and significantly expanded the program of the country's premier scientific event to ensure that every corner of the festival becomes a source of inspiration. The Academy of Sciences is preparing special areas for the youngest researchers, where science comes alive through play, awakening curiosity and a thirst for knowledge. And for those seeking thrills, we're organizing extreme gastronomic experiences and captivating science shows, where every experiment is a small miracle. I'm confident that over these two days, many will change their perspective on the world of science and discover new horizons of possibilities," said Vladimir Karanik.

Minsk Science Festival is the largest popular science event in Belarus. Over the years, it has grown into a major event that introduces Minsk residents and visitors to the latest scientific developments and helps them understand new knowledge in the world of science and technology. The Festival will open its doors for the eighth time on September 5-6, 2026. Applications are accepted from April 6 to 30 via the website scifest.by/step1
