The Academy of Sciences and the Higher College of National Defense of Oman discussed prospects for cooperation
Today, Vasily Gursky, Chief Scientific Secretary of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, and Ali Suleiman Saeed Al Darmaki, Dean of the Faculty of the Higher College of National Defense of Oman, discussed promising areas of bilateral cooperation, including in agriculture, strengthening food security, and training scientific personnel.
Vasily Gursky emphasized that, thanks to the initiative of the two countries' leaders, relations between Belarus and Oman are actively developing. He also noted that a Belarusian delegation, including Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences Sergei Shcherbakov, recently visited Oman to develop bilateral cooperation. "Our cooperation, which is just beginning, will be beneficial for our countries and science as a whole," said the Chief Scientific Secretary of the Academy of Sciences.
In turn, Ali Suleiman Said Al Darmaki reported high mutual interest, briefly mentioning the results of the Belarusian-Omani business forum, which was recently held in Muscat. He noted that visiting the permanent exhibition of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, "Achievements of Domestic Science for Production," was educational. "We are confident that our visit will be productive and will bring tangible benefits to our countries," added the head of the Omani delegation.
