The Academy of Sciences and the Ministry of Industry signed a cooperation agreement

The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Belarus signed a cooperation agreement during a roundtable discussion. The document was signed by the heads of the NAS of Belarus and the Ministry of Industry, Vladimir Karanik and Andrei Kuznetsov.

The document provides for scientific support for the industry, the development of new products and technologies with the subsequent implementation of the results obtained, as well as the consolidation of the academic and real sectors in priority areas of scientific, scientific-technical, and innovative activity.

In addition, the parties agreed to cooperate on issues of organizing and conducting scientific research and development within the framework of state scientific research programs, state scientific and technical programs, as well as in the development of scientific and technical programs of the Union State.

Vladimir Karanik, Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus, noted that there are numerous points of contact with enterprises within the Ministry of Industry. He stated that synergy between academic institutions and real-world enterprises can lead to breakthrough solutions and sustainable development of the domestic industry.

"Joint work and collaboration, built on a mutual and clear understanding of our capabilities and objectives, will significantly accelerate the process of implementing scientific achievements and high-tech developments into production, overcoming the existing barriers between science and business," emphasized Vladimir Karanik. He also noted that key areas of cooperation could include robotic production, metallurgy, and the development and implementation of new materials with improved performance characteristics.

A joint meeting of the NAS of Belarus and the Ministry of Industry was held today at the Ministry of Industry to discuss current and promising areas of cooperation. The event was attended by representatives from seventeen industrial holdings and academic organizations, including SSPA "Optics, Optoelectronics, and Laser Technology," the Institute of Powder Metallurgy, the Institute of Physical-Organic Chemistry, the Institute of Metal Technology, the Institute of Heat and Mass Transfer, and others.
