The Academy of Sciences opened the National School of Young Scientists, "Science – the Choice of the Future"

Today, the NAS of Belarus held the grand opening of the national school for young scientists, "Science – the Choice of the Future," attended by over 300 participants from across the country. This event aims to support and develop the potential of talented young researchers, as well as to popularize science.

An important component of the school's program is the creation of a favorable atmosphere for communication and interdisciplinary interaction, which will enable young scientists to broaden their horizons and find innovative solutions to complex problems.

Chief Scientific Secretary of the Academy of Sciences Vasily Gursky read out a welcoming address from Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences Vladimir Karanik.

"In our country, the best young minds are always encouraged and recognized. The main forms of support include scholarships and grants from the President of the Republic of Belarus, a number of competitions and awards from the Higher Attestation Commission, the Ministry of Education, and the State Committee for Science and Technology," the statement reads. "I would like to highlight the traditional academic competitions '100 Young Talents' and '100 Innovations of Young Scientists,' grants for young scientists from Belarusian Republican Foundation for Fundamental Research, and special annual awards for young scientists."

Vladimir Karanik also noted that, thanks to the established state system of scientific, scientific-technical, and innovative activity, the new generation of scientists has a wide range of opportunities for self-realization.

"Dear friends! It's never too late to learn. But that's not the most important thing in science. Achieving true success in research is only possible with a love for one's work and a fire in one's soul," emphasized the head of the Academy of Sciences.
