The Academy of Sciences discussed issues of joint space research and program implementation
Today, the Academy of Sciences hosted a meeting of the International Association of Academies of Sciences (IAAS) Space Research Council, where joint space research and program implementation were discussed.
During the meeting, an exchange of views on the development of the space industry took place. Particular attention was paid to Belarusian initiatives aimed at expanding the country's participation in international space projects and developing promising technologies.
The event was attended by representatives from the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Space Research Institute of Russian Academy of Sciences, Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences, Kurchatov Institute National Research Center, the National Academy of Sciences of Kyrgyz Republic and others.
The Scientific Council on Space of the International Academy of Astronomical Sciences was established on October 18, 2018, to develop cooperation and coordinate joint activities in space.
