The Academy of Sciences presented its advanced developments at the International Exhibition "National Security. Belarus – 2026"
The team academic stand, covering a total area of 90 square meters, showcases more than 60 scientific and technical developments aimed at strengthening national security.
The exhibition covers a wide range of current trends, including:
Information and digital technologies;
Unmanned technologies and optoelectronics;
Personal protective equipment and tactical gear;
Medical and biological technologies;
Environmental and meteorological monitoring;
Scientific and methodological materials on national security, etc.
1. Forensic hardware and software complex(State Scientific Institution "B. Stepanov Institute of Physics of the NAS of Belarus").
The system is designed for photographing objects and terrain, as well as determining their dimensions. It can be used during investigative actions at crime scenes when precise linear measurements are required.
2. Determining the probable age and external characteristics of a person based on the characteristics of his/her DNA(State Scientific Institution "Institute of Genetics and Cytology of the NAS of Belarus").
This development determines the probable age and specific physical characteristics of an unknown person based on the characteristics of his/her DNA. This helps narrow the search for identification.
3. Medical magnetic extractor EMM-25-120 2.0(UE "FERRIT").
The extractor is designed for the rapid removal of metallic accidental particles from wounds during medical care in field, dressing, and surgical settings. Its use reduces the time required to locate accidental bodies and simplifies their removal.
4. Meteoblock(JSC “Minsk Scientific and Research Institute of Radio Materials”).
The meteolock is designed to record environmental parameters and automate meteorological observations. The device measures wind speed and direction, atmospheric pressure, temperature, and humidity, and transmits the resulting data to the user's server.
5. A simulator for training UAV operators(Research and Production Center for Multifunctional Unmanned Systems of the NAS of Belarus).
The simulator is designed to train UAV operators and assess their professional skills without using the standard UAV equipment. Training is conducted using 3D computer models of UAVs, closely resembling existing examples.
6. A software package for detecting and tracking objects from UAVs(State Scientific Institution "United Institute of Informatics Problems of the NAS of Belarus").
This software package is designed for automatic detection and tracking of objects from an unmanned aerial vehicle. The development utilizes artificial intelligence technologies and modern image processing methods.
7. Personal armored protection equipment and tactical outfit(State Scientific Institution "Physical and Technical Institute of the NAS of Belarus").
The products on display include body armor, armor panels, impact and bulletproof shields, anti-fragmentation blankets, protective linings for vehicles, tactical gear, and tactical clothing. These products are designed to protect personnel and equipment, as well as equip units performing special missions. Tactical clothing can be customized to meet the needs of specific units, including by adding insignia.
