Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Alexei Trukhanov held a working meeting with representatives of Shandong Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences
The focus is on joint developments in biotechnology and modern livestock breeding methods, including poultry farming, as well as cooperation in veterinary medicine.
The parties also discussed prospects for technology exchange and joint projects to strengthen food security at the brand new level.
Alexei Trukhanov emphasized that Belarusian-Chinese scientific and technical cooperation has a strong, long-standing foundation, and that scientists' primary task now is to introduce innovations into the real economy.
"Implementing our agreements will not only strengthen our bilateral scientific ties but also make a significant contribution to the development of the agro-industrial complex of both countries, making it more efficient and modern," he said.
