The NAS of Belarus announces the 2026 competition of 100 young talents of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus
The competition is held for the following purposes: implementing measures to attract and retain talented young people in scientific, technical, and innovative fields; creating youth research groups and rejuvenating the staff of scientific organizations; and ensuring continuity between scientists of different generations.
Young scientists working in organizations of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus are allowed to participate in the competition:
candidates of sciences under 35 as of January 1, 2027 (born in 1992 inclusive), who were awarded an academic degree under 30 (according to the candidate of sciences diploma);
Doctors of Science under 45 as of January 1, 2027 (born in 1982 inclusive), who were awarded an academic degree under 40 (according to the Doctor of Science diploma).
The competition's winners are included in the "100 Young Talents of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus" database (with a corresponding certificate) and in the NAS Belarus management reserve. Furthermore, while in the database, they receive an annual grant to participate in an international scientific, scientific-organizational, or scientific-practical event (conferences, symposia, scientific schools, short-term internships, etc.)
To participate in the competition, the following documents must be submitted:
an application for participation in the competition, signed by the head of the organization of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus where the competition participant works;
a report on the research, teaching and innovation activities of the competition participant for the last full 3 years (2023–2026) with mandatory listing of indicators in accordance with the requirements for participants (see Competition Regulations);
scientific biography of the competition participant;
a list of the main scientific publications of the competition participant, certified by the scientific secretary of the organization of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus where the competition participant works.

In addition, the competition participants shall send the set of documents specified in paragraph 5 of the Regulations by October 30, 2026 to the competition commissions at the departments of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, taking into account the branch (direction) of scientific activity of the participant, at: 220072, Minsk, Independence Av., 66.
