Vladimir Karanik: Understanding the importance of celebrating the Uniting Day will foster the unity of our people and the preservation of our independence and territorial integrity

"National Unity Day as a Factor of National Pride" was the key theme of a meeting between the Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the management and staff of Belarusian Prosthetic, Orthopedic, and Rehabilitation Center in Grodno, held as part of the Single Information Day.

"The significance of this holiday is felt with particular intensity here, in the western regions of our beloved Belarus. Historical memory remains alive, and we have a duty to tell people of all generations not only the truth—that this was an act of historical justice—but also an important truth: just how difficult life was for Belarusians outside their own state, which had been cruelly torn apart by an unjust legal settlement," said Vladimir Karanik.

In his interactions with the staff, the head of the NAS emphasized the importance of direct dialogue with people. In his view, this type of meeting makes it possible to convey information more fully and answer questions while highlighting the key points effectively.

Nowadays, people—especially young people—read fewer pallid statistics and are more inclined to receive information through visual formats and direct interaction. It is essential to use this approach to convey truthful, objective information to everyone.

"As for joint projects, if any research and development work is required—whether for creating new materials or implementing digital technologies in this area—the Academy of Sciences is ready to provide all necessary assistance," stated Vladimir Karanik.
