On June 22, 2016 a reception for a delegation of business sector of the Republic of Korea, headed by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Belarus, Mr. Kim Yong Ho was held in the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Also the delegation included representatives of Ulsan Government, the Ministry of Industry and Energy, Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, Ulsan Technopark, various industrial and scientific organizations. From the NASB talks were headed by the First Vice Chairman of the NASB Presidium Sergei Chizhik.

The parties held negotiations on prospects of cooperation and mechanisms for their implementation and signed a memorandum on further cooperation. The guests got acquainted with the latest developments of the NASB organizations. The Korean side expressed interest in cooperation on a wide range of areas in science, commercialization, investments in joint projects, including laser technologies of welding, cutting and surface treatment, casting of aluminum, new materials, and renewable energy.
