On 15 – 16 November 2018, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus will celebrate its 90th anniversary. Well-known scientists from the Union State and the CIS countries, leading foreign Academies of Sciences, world research organizations and centers are expected to arrive for the celebration. On the days of anniversary celebrations, the Third International Scientific and Practical Conference "Science – for the Innovative Development of Society" will be held. The conference program will include fundamental and applied issues of creating high technologies, materials and products in breakthrough areas of science development. Leading scientists of our country and foreign guests will present scientific reports on the development of physics, mathematics and computer science; current problems of physical materials science; modern energy systems, processes and technologies. There will be presented the latest developments in mechanical engineering, surface engineering, chemistry and the Earth sciences, modern biotechnologies and ecology, medical sciences, humanities, and agrarian sciences.

On the celebration days, a large-scale exhibition of the results of innovative activities reached by the NASB scientists will be open. More than 200 recent scientific and technical developments will be presented there. The exhibition will show the advanced directions of development of the domestic scientific sphere, namely space; information, bio and nano-technologies; new medicines; achievements of agricultural scientists. There will be an exposition of books by humanities scholars, and an archaeological exhibition. A solemn gathering of the Belarusian scientific community dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus will be held in the Great Conference Hall of the NASB Presidium. The best scientists of our country will be awarded at the event.

November 15, 2018 (Thursday)
At 2:00 p.m., the Third International Scientific and Practical Conference "Science – for the Innovative Development of Society" will start its work

From 9:00 a.m. till 2:30 p.m., the exhibition of the results of innovative activities of the NASB scientists will work.
From 2:30 till 6:00 p.m., a solemn gathering of the Belarusian scientific community dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus will be held.
