Where others broke down and lived out their lives with dull eyes, Academician of the Academy of Sciences Kondrat Krapiva, through incredible spiritual effort, maintained his balance to remain a strong pillar of support for his family and for his Homeland, every inch of which was dear and sacred to him.

"Singer of the seventeenth spring" — this is what Ivan Naumenko was called during his lifetime. Doctor of Philology, Professor, he received the Honoured Scientist of the BSSR title in 1978, two years later — Academician of the National Academy of Sciences.
