On November 25, 2021, at 10.00, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (66, Nezalezhnosti Ave., Big Conference Hall) will host the grand opening of the III Forum of Scientists of the CIS Member States.
The Forum is stipulated by the Plan of Priority Actions in the Field of Humanitarian Cooperation of the CIS Member States for 2021–2022, adopted at the meeting of the Council of CIS Heads of Government on November 6, 2020. The event was organized by the NASB and the CIS Executive Committee with the support of the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of the CIS Member States. It is planned that the forum will be attended by more than 150 participants - heads and leading scientists of the academies of sciences and the largest scientific and research centers of the CIS, educational organizations of a number of states, including delegations from Belarus, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan (online) and Uzbekistan.
The program of the Forum on November 25 - 26, 2021 assumes a Plenary session; three round tables on the topics: "State and Prospects for the Development of Fundamental Science", "Improving Scientific Cooperation in the Digital Age" and "Innovative Scientific Research". Based on the results of the Forum, it is planned to adopt a final Declaration.
In coordination with the Forum, it is planned to hold the IX meeting of the Council for Cooperation in the Field of Fundamental Science of the CIS Member States and the Congress of Scientific Councils of the International Association of Academies of Sciences (IAAS).
The main goals of the Forum: activation and development of scientific and technical cooperation of the CIS member states, an impulse to initiate new joint research, formulation of proposals for the development of innovation policy of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States, the formation of a system of international mobility of scientists and young specialists in the professional community of the CIS member states. Scientists will conduct a detailed analysis of the state and prospects for the development of fundamental science, work out ways to improve scientific cooperation in the digital era.
The organizers are confident that the III Forum of Scientists of the CIS-2021 Member States will not only become an effective platform for dialogue and expand international scientific research, but will also contribute to the establishment of long-term business contacts between representatives of the scientific communities of the CIS countries, form international scientific groups and teams for the implementation of high-tech research in the interests of the economies of the CIS countries.
