The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences announce a competition for the Academician V.A. Koptyug Prize 2023.

The Academician Valentin Afanasyevich Koptyug Prize is awarded annually for the best joint scientific work, discovery or invention, a series of joint scientific works on a single topic, carried out within the framework of the directions agreed upon by the cooperation agreement of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

The award of the Academician V.A. Koptyug Prize 2023 will be carried out by the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Joint works completed or published during the three years preceding the year of the award may be submitted for the award. When presenting works, leading authors are nominated in a team of no more than 10 people. At the same time, each country must be represented by at least two scientists.

The right to nominate candidates for the award is granted to:
- academicians and corresponding members working at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus or the SB RAS;
- academic councils of scientific institutions of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and SB RAS;
- problem scientific councils of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the joint scientific councils (JSC) of the SB RAS in the fields of science, academic councils of higher educational institutions;
- scientific and technical councils of state committees, ministries, departments of the Republic of Belarus;
- technical councils of industrial enterprises, design bureaus of Siberian regions.

Organizations or individuals who have nominated a work for the award submit the following documents:
- motivated presentation, including scientific characteristics of the work, justification of its importance for the development of science and the national economy;
- the original of the published scientific work (series of works), materials of a scientific discovery or invention — in triplicate;
- information about the authors — Curriculum vitae — for each.

Materials with the inscription «For the Academician V.A. Koptyug Prize 2023» are submitted until March 10, 2023 to the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences at the address: 630090, Russia, Novosibirsk, Akademika Lavrentieva Avenue, 17, office 210, to the Deputy Chief Scientific Secretary of the SB RAS Ivanov Evgeny Anatolyevich.
