Lignin role in agregative stability of the tallow oil -- water-salt solution system. pp. 5--9

Summary: It was shown that the system tallow oil -- water-salt solution -- lignin is a emulsion of the "oil in water" type. The negative influence of lignin on the process of oil preparation is related to its ability to screen the surface of the oil drops distributed in the volume of liquid and prevent coalescence of the latter. Coaddition of lignosulfonates with polyacrylamide in cationic form improves separation of lignoemulsion.

Properties of foam systems based on oxyethylized surfactants. pp. 10--14

Summary: It was shown that oxyethylized surfactants and their compositions with lowmolecular unmicellaforming and ionic micellaforming surfactants have high efficiency of foamforming action in the wide region of the foamforming agent and inorganic electrolyte concentration.

Colloid-chemical properties of suspension of polyelectrolyte complex of poly-, -dimethyl-, -diallylammonium chlorides of sodium lignosulfonates. pp. 15--18

Summary: The investigations of chemico-colloidal properties of polyelectrolyte complex poly-N,N-dimethyl-N,N-diallylammonium chloride (PDMDAAC) and sodium lignosulphonate (NaLS) have been carried out. Is has been shown that varying the order of adding and ratio of the initial polyelectrolyte concentrations enables to prepare disperse systems with particles of different sizes, values and signs of z-potential. The data obtained allow to recommend the polyelectrolyte complex for usage as a coagulant of microheterogeneous impurities of sewage and natural waters.

Influence of decomposing additions on pore structure of hydroxides. pp. 19--22

Summary: The influence of decomposing additions on formation of the structure of aluminum hydroxide has been studied. It has been show that the sorption capacity and specific surface of the samples are enhanced by additions. The mechanism of the proceeding processes and their reasons have been discussed.

Summary: The temperature dependence of dielectric permittivity and specific resistance of the ceramic bulk samples of Ba0.999Ce0.001Ti1-xSnxO3 composition (x = 0.1 - 0.3; D = 0.05) in the atmosphere of pure air and that with NO additives was investigated. The temperature interval of posistor effect was utilized.

Summary: By pre-radiation initiated graft polymerization of acrylic acid on to polypropylene fibers has been studied. Some properties of obtained ion exchangers have been determined.

Plasmochemical preparation of oxide powders from mixed water solutions of aluminum and cobalt nitrates. pp. 38--42

Summary: The synthesis of fine pigment powders of Co--Al--O-system in the triple-torch electric arc reactor with injection of nitrates solution into air plasma is investigated. Comparison of the powders characteristics and thermodynamic calculation data shows on the possibility of condensation of Co-contained compounds vapors on the surface of micronized particles composed of Al--Co--O mixture. The synthesized powders have multiphase heterogeneous structure with surface location of CoAl2O4 and Co3O4 phases even at the molar ratio Al/Co in nitrate solution of 5.7.

Phase transitions and crystal structure of adamantanol. pp. 43--46

Summary: The investigation of the thermodynamic characteristics of solid phase transition and fusion for 1-adamantanol was carried out. The parameters of crystal lattices corresponding to low-temperature and high-temperature phases were determined by the method of X-ray crystal analysis.

Catalytic properties of clays activated by phosphoric acid. pp. 47--52

Summary: Catalytic tests of clays activated by phosphoric and sulfuric acids have been carried out. High catalytic properties of obtained samples have been demonstrated. Samples of activated clays may be used as catalysts for isomerization of light olefins. High stability and regeneration properties of samples have been shown. The initial magnitude of catalytic activities of sample is almost totally restored after regeneration of catalyst.

Regularities of extraction of glutamic acid by a liquid sulfonic type cation exchanger. pp. 53--56

Summary: Extraction of glutamic acid (Glu) by a liquid ion exchanger (0.1 M solution of dinonyl naphtalene sulfonic acid in n-heptane) from aqueous solution in the presence and absence of NaCl (0.1 mol/L) has been studied in dependence of the Glu concentration and the solution pH. The values of the selectivity coefficient of H+--Glu+ exchange appeared similar to those for the resinous sulfonic type cation exchangers. The extraction was maximal at pH 2-3.

Azomethines in synthesis of 3-aryl-4-nitrocyclohexanones. pp. 57--59

Summary: A convenient aproach to l-aryl-6-nitrohex-l-en-3-ones IV a-c has been developed. This method involved condensation of 5-nitropentan-2-one I with azomethynes II a-c followed by deamination to corresponding arylidenketones IV a-c. Intramolecular cyclization of this compounds gives desired 3-aryl-4-nitrocyclohexanones V a-c.

Measurement of total antioxidant activity of biological liquids. pp. 60--63

Summary: A biochemical system for total antioxidant activity measurement was developed. The test-system consists of metmioglobin, hydrogen peroxide, ABTS (2,2'-azino-bis-(3-ethylbenzthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) and blood sera as calibrators. The system was standardized with 6-hydroxy-2,5,7,8-tetramethylchroman-2-carboxylic acid (Trolox -- vitamin E water-soluble analog). Test-tubes and 96-cells microplates as reaction containers were used. The procedure of 94 tests analyses took up near one hour and may be performed at 15--23°C.

Electroconductive properties of polystyrene films filled by Ni-carbon fibers. pp. 64--68

Summary: It is shown that the use of Ni-containing carbon fibers for filling of polystyrene films makes it possible to obtain the polymer films with low resistance (about 7.5--10-3 Om•m) at small degrees of filling.

The sulfonating of polystyrene bearers with aldehyde groups for solidphase immunoassay. pp. 69--71

Summary: Sulfonating formylated polystyrene beads (FPSB) intended for solid-phase immunoassay hase been studied. Treatment of FPSB with concentrated sulfuric acid permits introducing 2.6 µmol/cm2 sulfo-groups. Synthesized matrices have a surface layer with increased hydrophilicity, that promotes accessibility of aldehyde groups for chemical reactions and stabilizes the membiane-type shell of FPSB.

Summary: The composition of organic matters in the Sohz-river flood-plain sediments and soils (including, barried ones) in relation to fraction-group composition of humus is characterized. The relationship between the latter and microelements, technogene radioisotopes, has been examined.

Tritium in atmospheric precipitations and water systems of Belarus. pp. 77--81

Summary: Experimental and literature data concerning analysis of tritium in atmospheric precipitation and natural waters of Belarus including the lakes near the Ignalinskaya NPP are compared and analysed. It is concluded that the maximum of the curve "amount of the samples -- their activity" is shifted to the higher activity in the time period 1994--2000 in comparison with time period 1980--1989. That increasing of the concentration of tritium in water can not be explained definetely with Chernobyl accident. Consumption of drinking water with maximum registered tritium concentration in natural waters (10 Bq/l) will produce accumulation of dose equal 1.3--10-3 of public permisible dose limit.

The influence of temperature and exposure time on intensity of bioactive compounds synthesis has been studied in model systems.

New anticorrosion compositions for concretes. pp. 86--88

Summary: New effective protective compositions for impregnation of concrete are developed on the basis of compositions of inorganic salts. The data obtained in work testify that on efficiency of action the periodic three-aliquot processing of concrete products during their operation is equivalent to the initial double processing of concrete. The carried out researches have allowed to establish optimal conditions of modifying concrete.

Influence of particles dispersion degree of fire extinguish composition for peat on its efficiency. pp. 93--97

Summary: The fire extinguish efficiency of synthesized chemical compositions for peat consisted of suspension of insoluble aluminosilikophosphates in molecular solution of ammonium phosphates is investigated. It is shown that the high efficiency of compositions under study is caused by the impregnation effect of fire retardant solution on the combustible material as well formation on its surface of the protective coating consisting of finely dispersed particles of solid components of the compositions.

Thermodynamic analysis of some processes of deriving solar grade silicon from fluorine-containing raw materials. pp. 101--105

Summary: The results of thermodynamic calculations are presented to show the possibility of solar grade silicon production from fluorine-containing by-product of the phosphatic fertilizer industry. Considerable decrease of cost and energy consumption may be achieved due to high volatility of silicon tetrafluoride and some special features of the involved chemical reactions. This investigation is supported by the Science for Peace Programme, NATO.

Summary: On the occasion of 100th birthday anniversary of distinguished Russian and Belorussian scientist in the field of solid fuels V. E. Rakovsky his opinion and hypotheses about descent of organic matter gatherings and they transformations into fossil fuels are expounded. His hypothesis about formation of humic matter in living plants and results of investigation of molecular structure of some peat components are considered. Scientific achievements of V. E. Rakovsky's followers are shown.
