Stanislav Ivanovich Grib (b. 06.08.1944, v. Savichi, Dyatlovo district, Grodno region), a scientist in the field of crop production. Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (2003), Academician of the Academy of Agrarian Sciences of the Republic of Belarus (1994-2002), foreign member of the Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences (2001) and the Ukrainian Academy of Agrarian Sciences (2001), Doctor of Agricultural Sciences (1988), Professor (1998).
Scientific work in the field of seed breeding and technology of cultivation of grain crops. He developed and put into practice intensive varieties of grain crops with a potential yield of 8-10 t/ha, suggested methods for creating genetic diversity and identification of genotypes combining high productivity with tolerance to biotic and abiotic environmental factors, good quality products. Developed and introduced into production systems adapted, resource-saving varieties of barley, oats, triticale, spring wheat.
Author of more than 400 scientific papers, incl. 9 monographs, 7 inventions, 38 copyright certificates on plant varieties zoned in Belarus, of which 14 are included in the register of foreign countries.
State Prize of the Republic of Belarus in 1994 for a series of works "Development of methods and results of selection of highly productive, resource-saving varieties of spring barley and winter rye".
Awarded with the Order "Badge of Honor" (1986), medals.
