Anatoly Arsenevich Mikhailov (b. 27.05.1939, Zemetchino, Penza region, Russia), philosopher. Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (1991; corresponding member since 1989), Doctor of Philosophical Sciences (1986), Professor (1988). Member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts (Salzburg, Austria, 1993).

— Graduated from the Belarusian State University (1961).
— In 1966-1974 - Lecturer, Associate Professor of the Department of Philosophy of the Belarusian State University.
— In 1974-1980 - Fellow of the Center of Social Development and Humanitarian Affairs (New York - Vienna).
— In 1980-1987 - Associate Professor, Professor of the Department of Philosophy, since 1987 - Head of the Department of History of Philosophy and Logic of the Belarusian State University.
— Since 1992 - Rector of the European Humanities University.

Scientific research in the history of philosophy, modern Western philosophy and methodology of humanitarian knowledge. Analyzed the radical transformations occurring in the philosophy of the XX century in connection with the emergence and development of the philosophy of life, phenomenology, existentialism, fundamental ontology and hermeneutics.

Author of more than 60 scientific papers, incl. 2 monographs.

Awarded with the Commander's Cross of the Order of Merit for Lithuania, a medal.
