MIKHAILOV Anatoly Arsenevich

Anatoly Arsenevich Mikhailov (b. 27.05.1939, Zemetchino, Penza region, Russia), philosopher. Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (1991; corresponding member since 1989), Doctor of Philosophical Sciences (1986), Professor (1988). Member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts (Salzburg, Austria, 1993).

Scientific research in the history of philosophy, modern Western philosophy and methodology of humanitarian knowledge. Analyzed the radical transformations occurring in the philosophy of the XX century in connection with the emergence and development of the philosophy of life, phenomenology, existentialism, fundamental ontology and hermeneutics.

Author of more than 60 scientific papers, incl. 2 monographs.

Awarded with the Commander's Cross of the Order of Merit for Lithuania, a medal.
