Anatoly Nikolaevich Rubinov (b. 15.04.1939, Mogilyov), physicist. Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (1991; corresponding member since 1984), Doctor of Physico-Mathematical Sciences (1973), Professor (1980). Honored Scientist of the BSSR (1980).
Research in the field of laser physics and spectroscopy of complex organic compounds. Developed new methods for studying the spectroscopy of excited states of laser media, lasers on solutions of organic compounds. Investigated the dependence of the fluorescence spectrum of solutions on the frequency of the exciting light (the phenomenon of bathochromic luminescence), developed methods of intracavity laser spectroscopy, created tunable lasers with distributed feedback. Developed the scientific foundations of non-resonant interaction of laser radiation with biological objects.
Author of more than 300 scientific papers, incl. 4 monographs, 65 inventions.
State Prize of the USSR in 1972 for a series of studies on the phenomenon of optical generation in solutions of complex organic compounds and the creation on their basis of a new type of lasers with a smoothly tunable radiation frequency in a wide spectrum. State Prize of the Republic of Belarus in 1994 for the cycle of works "Microstructure fluctuations and photophysics of solutions of complex organic compounds".
Awarded with the Order of Francisk Skaryna (2000).
