Anatoly Ivanovich Sviridyonok (b. 07.07.1936, Orsha, Vitebsk region.), a scientist in the field of materials science. Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (1986; corresponding member since 1984), Doctor of Engineering Sciences (1976), Professor (1981).
Work in the field of materials science, polymer composites, friction and wear of solids. He developed the scientific basis for the creation of composite materials, methods for controlling the structure and friction properties of metal-polymer systems, methods and instruments for studying the surface properties of polymers and composites based on them. Together with his students, he conducted comprehensive studies of the relationship between the structure and properties of composite materials of friction purpose. He initiated the development of research in the field of nanotribology and foot biomechanics in Belarus. Develops methodological issues of resource conservation.
Author of more than 250 scientific papers, incl. 16 monographs, more than 150 inventions.
State Prize of the BSSR in 1972 for the development of the theoretical foundations of the creation of friction materials and structures made of polymers and metal polymers and their introduction into the national economy.
Awarded with the Badge of Honor (1981), medals.
