Gennady Iosifovich Ganush (b. 25.08.1938, v. Guta, Uzda district, Minsk region), an agronomist scientist. Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (2003), Corresponding Member of the Academy of Agrarian Sciences of the Republic of Belarus (1999-2002). Doctor of Economic Sciences (1998), Professor (2000).

— Graduated from the Belarusian Academy of Agriculture (1969), the Academy of Social Sciences under the CPSU Central Committee (1977).
— Since 1962 - Inspector-Organizer, Agronomist of the Dzerzhinsk Production Department, since 1966 - Instructor of the district committee of the CPB, Secretary of the party committee of the “Drichinsky” of the Pukhovichi district, since 1969 - Chief State Procurement Inspector, Deputy Head of the Pukhovichi district agricultural department, since 1971 - Secretary of the Pukhovichi District Communist Party Committee.
— Since 1977 - Instructor, Inspector of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Belarus, since 1982 - First Secretary of the Minsk district committee of the Communist Party of Belarus, since 1985 - First Deputy Head of the Agriculture Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Belarus, since 1990 - Director of the BelNII of vegetable growing, since 1999 - Vice-President of the Academy of Agrarian Sciences of the Republic of Belarus, in 2002-2003 - Advisor to the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
— Since 2005 - Head of the Department of the Belarusian State Agrarian Technical University.

Scientific works in the field of economics, organization and technology of cultivation of vegetable crops, vegetable seed production, inter-farm cooperation, integration and management. Under his leadership, the concept of vegetable production development in the Republic of Belarus, as well as the organizational and economic mechanism for the effective functioning of the entire vegetable subcomplex, was developed and put into practice. Develops issues of adaptive intensification and competitiveness of the agro-industrial complex, the use of scientific and innovative potential.

Author of more than 200 scientific papers, incl. 5 monographs.
