Elena Nikolaevna Kalinichenko (b. 17.02.1948, Gomel), a chemist. Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences (2014), Doctor of Chemical Sciences (2000).
Scientific works in the field of organic synthesis and the research of the biological activity of nucleoside analogues, the development of technologies for the production of substances and drugs (cytarabine, leucladin, fludarabel, azacytidine, decitabine, pemetrexed, etc.) made it possible to solve an important scientific and practical task of creating drugs for the treatment of onco-hematological diseases and organizations in the Republic of Belarus of a new direction in the pharmaceutical industry - the production of synthetic pharmaceutical substances and anticancer drugs funds that are sold in Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and other countries.
Author of more than 250 scientific papers, 6 inventor certificates and 12 patents; more than 50 articles published in leading foreign journals. Works have been repeatedly reported at international conferences.
For the cycle of work on the development of original technologies and the organization of the production of a line of anticancer drugs E.N. Kalinichenko was awarded with the Honorary Diploma of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus (2003), Laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Belarus (2004), Laureate of the Prize of the Council of Ministers of the Latvian SSR (1989). In 2007, she was awarded with a personal allowance of the President of the Republic of Belarus for her outstanding contribution to the socio-economic development of the Republic.
