Petr Petrovich Kazakevich (b. 01.01.1955), a scientist in the field of technologies and means of agricultural mechanization. Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (2009). Doctor of Engineering Sciences (1998), Professor (2008).
P. Kazakevich is known for his scientific work in the field of mechanization of the processes of agro-ecological improvement of small-scale peatlands and soil contaminated with radioactive substances, mechanical processing of soil, cultivation, harvesting and primary processing of flax.
He personally and with his scientific leadership are developed: a special two-tier plow PTN-0.9 for deep ameliorative plowing of peatlands, which was included in the Union System of Land Reclamation Machines and recommended to Western MIS for mass production more than 1 thousand hectares); special mounted plow PSN-4-40 for deep plowing of farmland superficially contaminated with radioactive substances, based on it developed a technology for rehabilitation of grassland pastures (after the Chernobyl accident, it was used in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus over an area of more than 16 thousand hectares); PNG-3-43, PNG-4(5)-43 mounted rotary plows for smooth plowing of arable land.
Under the scientific guidance of P. Kazakevich, a flax harvesting machine was created for combining and separate harvesting of flax using the flap harvesting technology (OD-1 and OL-1 tape turners, B-1 crusher, PRF 110L and PRL-150 balers, picker combiner POO-1), the efficiency of the use of self-propelled flax harvesting machines in the conditions of the formation of flax harvesting detachments at flax plants. At present, Petr Petrovich continues his scientific work in the field of substantiation and development of plows for smooth plowing of soil, tillage and sowing units.
Working in the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Belarus, Petr Petrovich maintained a close relationship with agrarian science. At his suggestion, a system of promising machines was developed for implementing innovative technologies for the production of the main types of crop, livestock and poultry products for 2011-2015. He took an active part in the preparation of the State program of revival and development of the village for 2005-2010, the State program of sustainable development of the village for 2011-2015. Since June 2014, P. Kazakevich has been serving as Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
P. Kazakevich takes an active part in the training of scientific personnel. He is a member of two dissertation defense councils. He trained one doctor and two candidates of engineering sciences.
Author of more than 165 scientific papers, including 5 monographs, 2 textbooks, more than 22 copyright certificates and patents (co-authored), as well as 3 educational and methodical works.
