KAZAROVETS Nikolay Vladimirovich

Nikolay Vladimirovich Kazarovets (b. 26.03.1949, v. Khorki, Postavy district, Vitebsk region), a scientist in the field of agricultural livestock. Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (2004), Doctor of Agricultural Sciences (1999), Professor (2000).

Studies on the selection of dairy cattle. Conducted an expedition survey of the breeding stock of the regions of Belarus (Mogilev, Gomel, Minsk regions). He assessed the state of black-and-white cattle, revealed the exterior characteristics of animals, calculated the population-genetic parameters of breeding traits. The essence of the system approach in organizing selection and breeding work in the population is substantiated, programs of large-scale breeding of dairy cattle of the desired type have been developed, which are implemented in the breeding work of the active part of the population, creating a comprehensive program to improve dairy cattle of the Mogilev region. Develops breeding technologies for obtaining fathers and mothers of bull-improvers, index assessment of breeding animals, methodical substantiation of breeding black-and-white cattle in farms of different levels of animal productivity.

Author of more than 400 scientific and educational papers, including 10 monographs, 11 patents, 30 manuals and reference books.
