PADUTOV Vladimir Evgenievich

Vladimir Evgenievich Padutov (b. 04.07.1963, Minsk) - a scientist in the field of population biology, genetics and biotechnology. Corresponding Member (2014), Doctor of Biological Sciences (2002).

Research on population and evolutionary genetics of forest plants, selection of tree species, forest biotechnology. He assessed the state of genetic resources, the nature and direction of the genetic-population processes of the main forest-forming species of Belarus, revealed patterns of the species-formation process of coniferous species of the CIS countries, identified the main stages of speciation and the level of genetic changes at each stage, studied the phylogeography of the main forest-forming species of Belarus, developed a methodological base for genetic monitoring of all stages of forest seed breeding.

Author of more than 150 scientific papers, including 8 monographs and 4 scientific and methodological manuals, 4 copyright certificates and patents.

Prize of the Academy of Sciences of Belarus (1995) for a series of works on the integral assessment of the genetic resources of coniferous forests of Belarus and neighboring states and the principles of their rational use.
