Viktor Yakovlevich Prushak (b. 24.01.1956, v. Yaminsk, Lyuban district, Minsk region) - a scientist in the field of geotechnology and mining engineering. Corresponding member (2014), Doctor of Engineering Sciences (2000), Professor (2001). Honored Inventor of the Republic of Belarus (2012). Freeman of Lyuban (2006).
He developed resource-saving technologies for underground mining of salt beds in difficult mining and geological conditions, ways to prevent gas-dynamic phenomena in potash mines, and ways to increase the stability of mine workings. He established patterns of manifestation of rock pressure in the rock massif near the mine workings of the Starobinskoe deposit, features of the interaction of engineering structures with rock mass on deep horizons, features of the earth surface displacement under conditions of the development of pillar systems of development. He developed geophysical models of the interaction of the executive bodies of mining machines with a stress-deformed mountain massif, determined the laws governing the construction of a downhole shop complex, the mechanisms of influence of rock pressure on driving and treatment complexes. Proposed solutions to optimize the processing technology of potassium chloride.
Author of more than 290 scientific papers, including 12 monographs, 166 patents for inventions.
State Prize of the Republic of Belarus (2000) for the work "Development and mastering of the production of lifting and transport equipment for the mining industry of the Republic of Belarus".
Awarded with the Medal "For Labor Merit" (2006).
