SHEYKO Ruslan Ivanovich

Ruslan Ivanovich Sheyko (b. 10.06.1973, v. Soveiky, Lyakhovichi district, Brest region) - a scientist in the field of animal breeding. Corresponding Member (2017), Doctor of Agricultural Sciences (2011), Associate Professor (2003).

Scientific research in the field of improving the efficiency of production of competitive livestock products. He took an active part in the creation of the Belarusian meat breed of pigs. He is the author and responsible performer of the newly created factory types: “Zadneprovsky” and “Berezinsky” in the Belarusian meat breed, “Polessky” - in the landrace breed, intra breed “Belarus” - in the Durok breed. Developed the fundamental theoretical and methodological techniques and methods for improving the breeding and productive qualities of pigs of maternal and paternal breeds; technology for producing interbreed and linear-breed hybrids of pigs with a high guaranteed heterosis effect on fattening and meat qualities.

Author of more than 250 scientific papers, including 5 monographs, 1 textbook, 6 guidelines, 10 patents and 1 copyright certificate.
