SHEVCHUK Vyacheslav Vladimirovich

Vyacheslav Vladimirovich Shevchuk (b. 14.07.1949, Osh, Kyrgyzstan) - a scientist in the field of colloid chemistry. Corresponding Member (2017), Doctor of Chemical Sciences (2008).

Research in the field of colloidal and inorganic chemistry. Established the laws governing the physicochemical and structural-mechanical properties of mineral dispersions of inorganic salts using modifiers of various chemical nature and controlling their properties at the stage of aggregation and the formation of three-dimensional structures. He discovered patterns of physicochemical processes of modifying mineral disperse systems with hydrocarbons, surfactants and their mixtures, compositions based on surfactants and hydrocarbons, emulsions of the first kind, studied the colloid-chemical properties of modifying compounds and the nature of their interaction with the surface of natural minerals and potassium chloride in organic and aqueous media, which allowed the development of reagent treatment regimes, the optimal modifying conditions and the introduction of mineral Fertilizers, fundamentally new ways of obtaining fertilizers with increased moisture resistance, in terms of quality that meet the highest requirements of the world market, have provided a significant increase in exports of products, especially to countries with a humid tropical climate. He developed physical and chemical bases and technologies for the production of complex and new forms of mineral fertilizers with a high content of macro and microelements, increasing the yield of various crops and the quality of finished products (at "Belaruskali" a new production of complex fertilizers with a capacity of 240 tons per year was built). Conducted research on the development of basic patterns of processing of polymineral potash raw materials based on complex inorganic salts - carnallite, kainit, langbeinite, polyhalite, etc. He developed ways to separate these salts by reverse flotation of ballast, polythermic conditions and the effect of various modifiers on them (Surfactants, inorganic polymers and salts), technology for processing mineral mineral potash ores from the "Nivenskoe" deposit in Kaliningrad region (Russia) for mining and processing plant.

Author of more than 240 scientific papers, including 1 monograph, 119 patents and copyright certificates.

State Prize of the Republic of Belarus (2008) for the work “Development and implementation of resource-saving technologies for the extraction and processing of sylvinite ores at the Republican Unitary Enterprise "Belaruskali", increasing the competitiveness of potash fertilizers on the world market”.
