Stanislav Ivanovich Tretyak (b. 07.12.1950, Kaliningrad, Russia) - a scientist in the field of transplantology, cell biotechnology, surgical hepatology. Corresponding Member (2014), Doctor of Medical Sciences (1996), Professor (1998). Excellence in Public Health of the Republic of Belarus (1999). Honored Scientist of the Republic of Belarus (2008).
The main scientific works are devoted to the development of new approaches to the allotransplantation of “fresh” allogenic heart valves, studying the possibility of long-term preservation of allogeneic and xenogenic tissues in the lumen of the vessels and the heart without immunosuppressive therapy, justifying previously unexplored patterns in transplantology, developing innovative approaches to the surgical treatment of insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus, hypothyroidism, hypoparothyroidism using cellular technologies, the development and implementation of modern methods in the treatment of focal liver lesions, diagnosis and treatment of inflammatory diseases of the pancreas, the development of a method for treating trophic ulcers using autologous stem cells.
Author of more than 400 scientific papers, including 3 monographs, 15 patents.
State Prize of the Republic of Belarus (2004) for the work “A new method of surgical treatment of insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus by xenotransplantation of islet cells into the vascular bed of the recipient (experimental clinical study)”.
Awarded with the Medal "For Labor Merit" (2001).
