Vladimir Vladimirovich Usenya (b. 27.08.1958, v. Paseka, Starye Dorogi district, Minsk region) - a scientist in the field of forest science. Corresponding Member (2017), Doctor of Agricultural Sciences (2004), Professor (2010).

— Graduated from the Belarusian Institute of Technology named after S.M. Kirov (1980).
— In 1980–1981 - Engineer-Taxator of the Gomel Forest Inventory Expedition.
— Since 1981 - at the Belarusian Research Institute of Forestry: Senior Engineer, Junior, Senior Researcher.
— In 1992–2006 - Leading Researcher, Head of Sector, Laboratory, since 2007 - Deputy Director for Research of the Forest Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

Scientific work in the field of forest studies, forest pyrology and forest protection from fires. He studied the productivity, soil fertility and restoration of forest phytocenoses after fires. He proposed diagnostic indicators for assessing the fire resistance of plantations of the main forest-forming species and a differentiated system of management in them after the fires. Fulfilled forest fire zoning of the territory of Belarus. Developed and implemented promising technologies for localizing and extinguishing fires in the practice of forest conservation based on the use of domestic environmentally safe chemical compounds.

Author of over 220 scientific papers, including 5 monographs.
