Scientific work in the field of forest studies, forest pyrology and forest protection from fires. He studied the productivity, soil fertility and restoration of forest phytocenoses after fires. He proposed diagnostic indicators for assessing the fire resistance of plantations of the main forest-forming species and a differentiated system of management in them after the fires. Fulfilled forest fire zoning of the territory of Belarus. Developed and implemented promising technologies for localizing and extinguishing fires in the practice of forest conservation based on the use of domestic environmentally safe chemical compounds.
