VASILEVICH Grigory Alekseevich

Grigory Alekseevich Vasilevich (b. 13.02.1955, Minsk) - legal scholar. Corresponding Member (2017), Doctor of Juridical Sciences (1994), Professor (1998). Honorary Professor of the Institute of Legislation and Comparative Law under the Government of the Russian Federation (2016). Honored Lawyer of the Republic of Belarus (1994). Excellence in Education of the Republic of Belarus (2005).

Scientific works in the field of constitutional law, public administration, criminal law, labor law, theories of state and law, international law, human rights, history of the Belarusian state and law. He participated in the preparation of most of the legislative acts adopted by the Supreme Soviet of the BSSR (Republic of Belarus) in 1989–1994. Participated in the drafting of the 1994 Constitution. Contributed to the development of the doctrine of the Constitution, the constitutionalization of sectoral legislation, ensuring its compliance with generally accepted principles and norms of international law, the supremacy of constitutional principles and norms.

Author of more than 1000 scientific papers, including over 100 books and monographs, more than 50 textbooks and manuals.

Prize of the Belarusian State University named after V.I. Picheta (2012) for a series of textbooks and manuals on constitutional law.
