In memory of the scientist :: ALEKSEEV Evgeny Kuzmich

Evgeny Kuzmich Alekseev (02.02.1884, Visimo-Utkinsk, Prigorod district, Sverdlovsk region, Russia - 23.01.1972), agronomist-plant grower. Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (1940), Academician of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of the BSSR (1957-1961), Doctor of Agricultural Sciences (1936), Professor (1951).

— Graduated from the Kazan Teacher's Institute (1903) and the Higher Agricultural Courses in St. Petersburg (1911).
— Since 1916 - Director of Novozybkov Agricultural Experimental Station.
— In 1928-1930 - Professor, Head of the Department of Agricultural Sciences, since 1937 - Professor, Head of the Moscow Zootechnical Institute, in 1955-1959 - Professor, Head of the Department of the All-Union Agricultural Institute of Correspondence Education.
— At the same time in 1946 - 1959 - Head of the Department of the Belarusian Research Institute of Agriculture.
— In 1929-1930 - member of the CEC of the BSSR.

Developed agrotechnics of green fertilizers (sideratov). He studied the conditions that determine the effectiveness of green fertilizer on different soils in different climatic zones. Conducted experiments on agricultural technology of sugar beet, lupins.

Author of about 90 scientific papers, incl. 12 monographs.

Awarded with the Order of Honor, medals.
