Evgeny Alekseevich Barbashin (17.01.1918, v. Uinsk, Perm Region, Russia – 05.07.1969), mathematician. Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (1966), Doctor of Physico-Mathematical Sciences (1951), Professor (1952).
Scientific research in the field of differential equations, automatic control, mechanics and applied mathematics. He carried out basic research on the theory of dynamic systems, the theory of stability, the theory of nonlinear oscillations and automatic regulation. Developed stabilization methods for automatic control systems. He showed that the issues of the qualitative study of dynamic systems are generally related to the problems of motion stability. He performed a series of software regulation works, which made it possible to establish a connection between the problem of implementing program motions and the general theory of motion stability, the theory of optimal processes and the theory of approximate functions.
Author of more than 80 scientific papers, incl. 3 monographs.
State Prize of the USSR in 1972 for a series of works on the problem of the stability of automatic control systems.
Awarded with the Order of the Red Banner of Labor (1967), medals.
