BLIODUKHO Nikolai Fedorovich

Nikolai Fedorovich Bliodukho (10.12.1878, Cherven, Minsk region – 13.01.1935), geologist. Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (1928), Professor (1926).

The organizer of the geological survey and mineral exploration in the BSSR. Studied chalk sediments and phosphorites on the river Sozh. The research results were the basis for the construction of the Krichevsky cement plant. According to the results of the geomagnetic survey, he gave a forecast of detecting iron ore concentrations in the depths of the republic. For the first time, he compiled geological maps of subsurface and quaternary sediments, minerals of the BSSR.

Published about 20 scientific papers, incl. 3 monographs.
