Tselestin Leonovich Burstin (28.01.1888, Ternopil, Ukraine – 21.10.1938), mathematician. Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (1931), Doctor of Philosophical Sciences (1912), Professor (1929).
Research in the field of differential equations and differential geometry. Engaged in questions of algebra, Riemannian geometry, developed original methods for integrating Pfaff and Cartan aggregates, solved the Pfaff problem for systems of partial differential equations, the Cauchy problem for this type of equations.
Author of about 20 scientific papers, incl. 3 monographs.
