Fedor Dmitrievich Gakhov (19.02.1906, Cherkessk, Stavropol Region, Russia – 30.03.1980), mathematician. Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (1966), Doctor of Physico-Mathematical (1943), Professor (1943).

— Graduated from Kazan University (1930).
— In 1938-1939 - Associate Professor of Kazan University, since 1939 - Associate Professor, Head of the Department of the North Ossetian Pedagogical Institute in Ordzhonikidze.
— In 1947-1953 - Professor, Head of the Department of Kazan University, in 1953-1961 - Professor, Head of the Department of Rostov University.
— In 1961-1975 - Head of the Department of Mathematical Analysis, since 1975 - Professor and Consultant of the Department of Theory of Functions of the Belarusian State University.

Scientific research in the field of the theory of boundary value problems and singular integral equations with one and many variables, the theory of integral equations of convolution type, the theory of inverse boundary value problems. Gave a complete solution to the main boundary value problem of analytic functions (the Riemann problem). The results obtained are applied in problems of mathematical physics and continuum mechanics, used to create a theory of singular integral equations with the Cauchy kernel.

Author of more than 80 scientific papers, incl. 2 monographs.

Awarded with the Order of the Red Banner of Labor (1976), medals.
