Eduard Iosifovich Grudo (28.11.1936, v. Danilovichi, Dyatlovo district, Grodno region – 14.10.1997), mathematician. Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (1984). Doctor of Physico-Mathematical Sciences (1974), Professor (1991).

Major works in the field of differential equations. Investigated the analytical, qualitative and asymptotic properties of integral manifolds of differential systems. He created a new scientific direction in the theory of Pfaffian systems - the theory of characteristic vectors. He introduced the concept of the characteristic vector of functions of several variables, studied the properties of characteristic vectors and gave their application to the study of solutions of Pfaff’s systems. He studied the analytical and asymptotic structure of integral manifolds in the neighborhood of the equilibrium position of ordinary differential systems and Pfaff systems in various critical cases. Investigated periodic solutions of periodic systems in the general critical case, developed an analytical theory of Pfaff systems in the neighborhood of moving and fixed singular points.
