Aleksey Ivanovich Kaygorodov (14.11.1881, Novgorod, Russia – 27.09.1951), climatologist and geophysicist. Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (1947; Corresponding Member since 1936), Doctor of Physico-Mathematical Sciences (1934), Professor (1949).
Works on the research of climate, microclimate and agricultural meteorology of the BSSR. Developed recommendations for sowing time and other agricultural work for the BSSR. Gave a classification of climates of the globe.
Author of over 50 scientific papers, incl. 5 monographs.
Awarded with medals.
