Oskar Karlovich Kedrov-Zikhman (31.12.1885, Riga – 12.02.1964), agrochemist. Doctor of Agricultural Sciences (1934), Doctor of Chemical Sciences (1936), Professor (1923). Honored Scientist of the BSSR (1940).
The main works on the liming of acid soils, the study of the role of magnesium in lime fertilizers, the effect of lime on the biological quality of seeds, the use of trace elements in soil liming. Created a scientific basis for taking into account the biological characteristics of individual crops in soil liming.
Author of about 200 scientific papers, incl. 8 monographs.
Awarded with the Order of Lenin (1954), the Red Banner of Labor (1944, 1949), "Badge of Honor" (1940), medals.
