Scientific works in the field of agrobiology of cereal crops, their seed production, physiology. Investigated the dynamics of the synthesis of organic matter, depending on the influence of biotic and abiotic conditions, the characteristics of interrelations and the influence of individual elements of the crop structure on plant productivity and agrocenosis under various soil conditions. Determined the main directions of intensification of grain production and proposed the production of intensive technology for the cultivation of cereal crops. He studied the influence of environmental factors on the seed productivity of grain crops in order to identify the most favorable zones of seed production. Developed an industrial seed production system that meets the biological, organizational and economic requirements of seed production.
Author of more than 240 scientific papers, incl. monographs and 4 inventions.
State Prize of the Republic of Belarus in 1998 for the work "Creating a system of winter wheat varieties (Triticum aestivum L.) and technology for the production of food grain".
