Anton Ivanovich Savastyuk (01.05.1927, v. Borovoe, Dzerzhinsk district, Minsk region – 10.07.1998), philosopher. Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (1989), Doctor of Philosophical Sciences (1984), Professor (1985). Member of the Great Patriotic War.

— Graduated from the Belarusian State University (1955).
— In 1955-1956 - Inspector of the schools of the Dzerzhinsk District, in 1956-1958 - Deputy, Head of the Propaganda and Agitation Department of the Dzerzhinsk District Communist Party Committee.
— Since 1961 - Junior Researcher, in 1962-1968 - Scientific Secretary, in 1968-1989 - Deputy Director of the Institute of Philosophy and Law of the Academy of Sciences of the BSSR for Scientific Work, in 1989-1992 - Head of the Department of Social Development.
— In 1992-1997 - Counselor at the Directorate of the Institute of Philosophy and Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
— Since 1997 - Chief Researcher of the Department of Fundamental Interdisciplinary Problems of Organization and Management of the same institute.

Scientific research in the field of social philosophy and political science. Works on the Leninist theory of socialist revolution, the study of the laws governing the formation of socialism, the main contradiction of the modern era, the tendency for its further resolution.

Author of more than 60 scientific papers, incl. 3 monographs.

Awarded with the Order of Honor (1981), World War of the II degree (1985), the medal "For Courage" (1945), other medals.
