Nikolai Vasilyevich Storozhev (08.08.1934, v. Staryy Vyshkov, Novozybkov District, Bryansk Region, Russia – 09.08.2004), lawyer. Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (1989), Doctor of Chemical Sciences (1978), Professor (1985). Honored Lawyer of the Republic of Belarus (2000).
Scientific works in the field of agricultural, land and environmental law, partly of constitutional law. He studied the problems of development and improvement of agrarian, land and environmental law, the legal status of agricultural enterprises, ensuring land and agrarian reform, improving the electoral system of the Republic of Belarus. One of the authors of the "History of State and Law of the Byelorussian SSR" (vol. 1-2, 1970-1976). Took part in the development of the Land Code of the Republic of Belarus, the Law "On Land Ownership", the Law "On the Legal Regime of Territories Affected by Radioactive Contamination as a Result of the Chernobyl Disaster", the Electoral Code of the Republic of Belarus, etc. Since 2003 - member of the Russian-Belarusian Commission for the development of the draft Constitutional Act of the Union State.
Author of more than 100 scientific papers, incl. 6 monographs.
