In memory of the scientist :: VINOKUROV Fedor Petrovich

Fedor Petrovich Vinokurov (17.02.1900, v. Rasskazan, Saratov region, Russia – 15.06.1990), a scientist in the field of hydraulic engineering. Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (1960; corresponding member since 1950), Professor (1943). Academician of the Academy of Construction and Architecture of the USSR (1957–1964). Honored Worker of Science and Technology of the BSSR (1954).

— Graduated from Leningrad Institute of Railway Engineers (1925).
— In 1934-1940 - Head and Chief Engineer of the Office of Design and Construction of the Manych Waterway, in 1941 - Director of the Institute of Irrigation (Tashkent), in 1942-1944 - 1st Deputy People's Commissar of Water Management of the Uzbek SSR.
— In 1948-1961 - Head of the Department of the Belarusian Polytechnic Institute.
— In 1954-1956 - Minister of Land Reclamation and Water Management of the BSSR.
— Since 1956 - Chief Scientific Secretary of the Presidium of the Academy of Sciences of the BSSR, in 1969-1970 - Academician-Secretary of the Department of Physical and Technical Sciences of the Academy of Sciences of the BSSR.
— In 1955-1959 - Deputy of the Supreme Council of the BSSR.

Developed the design and construction of complexes of hydraulic structures, mechanics of peat soils. The author of the projects and the head of about 20 building complexes of great economic importance.

Author of more than 50 scientific papers, incl. 2 monographs.

Awarded with the Order of the Patriotic War of the I degree (1945), "Badge of Honor" (1944), medals.
