Fedor Ivanovich Privalov (b. 10.03.1957, v. Pobeda, Vetka district, Gomel region) - a scientist in the field of crop production. Corresponding Member (2014), Doctor of Agricultural Sciences (2009), Professor (2013). Honorary Doctor of the Belarusian State Agricultural Academy (2013). Honored Worker of Agriculture of the Republic of Belarus (2017).
Scientific work on the intensification of the cultivation of grain crops through the scientifically based use of growth regulators, remedies, biotechnical means that increase the sustainability of crops to adverse environmental factors and obtain yields of 6–7 or more tons of grain per hectare. He participated in the creation and introduction into production of more than 30 new high-yielding varieties of grain, leguminous, industrial and fodder crops with improved qualities of products. Under his leadership, a modern seed plant was put into operation at the Shipyany site. He initiated the accession of the Republic of Belarus to the European Cooperative Program on Plant Genetic Resources (ECP/GR), which ensured the accession of the Republic to the Integrated System of European Gene Banks (AEGIS), thanks to which Belarusian scientists gained access to the genetic resources of agricultural plants of European scientific institutions. Participated in the formation of state programs in the field of agricultural biotechnology, the development of breeding and seed production of grain, leguminous, industrial and fodder agricultural plants.
Author of more than 230 scientific papers, including 2 monographs, 15 recommendations, 15 collective editions.
Awarded with the Medal "For Labor Merit" (2006).
